DB15HD Premium Extension Cables

General Description
These are Premium Series extender cables for devices which use a DB-15HD (high density) connector. Although VGA monitors typically use this connector, these cables are not designed for the high frequency signals used in video monitor cables (the monitor would work but you would likely notice "shadows" or "ghosting" on your monitor). These cables are designed for general purpose use (controls, data aquisition, etc).
All 15 pins are extended, and the wiring is straight-through (pin 1 to pin 1, 2 to 2, ...) including a foil and braid shield around the cable and connecting the shells. The wire gauge is 24 AWG. These cables are blue in color. These cables have 3-row high density connectors.
Optional Extra-Long Jack Screw Kit
Winford now offers extra-long jackscrews as an accessory that can be purchased separately if daisy-chaining cables is desired. The existing thumbscrews would be removed and the long jackscrews installed in their place, and secured with the included nuts and washers on the back of the cable. See photo on right for example or order below. The jack screws are designed to accept the thumbscrews on a mating cable, helping secure the cable firmly in place.
These 35mm Jack Screws can also be used to panel mount D-Sub Extension Cables. We recommend using a max of 1/16" (0.0625") for panel thickness when mounting any D-Sub extension cables. For D-sub cutout recommendations please see our D-Sub Panel Cutout Drawing.
