General Description
These are Premium Series extender cables for any device which uses a DB-9 connector. They are available in three different lengths. All nine pins are extended, and the wiring is straight-through (pin 1 to pin 1, 2 to 2, ...) including a foil and braid shield around the cable and connecting the shells. Combined foil and braid shielding offers improved coverage and durability. The conductors are 24 AWG wire. These cables are blue in color.
Optional Extra-Long Jack Screw Kit
Winford now offers extra-long jackscrews as an accessory that can be purchased separately if daisy-chaining cables is desired. The existing thumbscrews would be removed and the long jackscrews installed in their place, and secured with the included nuts and washers on the back of the cable. See photo on right for example or order below. The jack screws are designed to accept the thumbscrews on a mating cable, helping secure the cable firmly in place.
