General Description

The RDBKMIC1 provides a convenient method to connect to an Arduino MICRO.

After plugging an Arduino MICRO into the socket headers, signals may be conveniently accessed at terminal blocks and/or thru-hole pads. A number of convenient design features, such as a prototype area and pads that accommodate a DC-DC* converter for operation from higher supply voltages, facilitate the inclusion of an Arduino MICRO in a variety of projects.

*See app note section for more information. DC-DC converter is not included with RDBKMIC1.

Signal Connections

The signal connections on this product are clearly marked. Please note the following details:

1. All ground connections (GND) shown on this breakout board are electrically connected together (with or without a MICRO module plugged in).

2. There are two signals dedicated to Reset (RST). Without a MICRO module plugged in, these signals are not connected. When a MICRO is plugged in, these signals are connected (thru the MICRO).


A breakout board is sometimes referred to as a "transition module", "terminal board", "terminal block", "breakout box", "breakout adapter", "terminator", or "interface module".

Mounting Options

These products are available in two different mounting variants. Product numbers ending with -DIN come with DIN clips already installed and ready to snap onto 35mm or 32mm DIN rail. Product numbers ending with -FT have stick-on rubber feet installed on the bottom side, allowing for benchtop use or panel mounting. For panel mounting, we suggest 1/4" nylon standoffs under the mounting holes, and #6 screws.
