General Description
Use these DIN rail mount 1-Gang boxes for quickly attaching electrical devices to a standard 35mm DIN rail. These can be used for installation of outlets, switches, or wire junction space for use in your electrical controls cabinet. These electrical enclosures come standard with four wire entry points in the back for convenient wiring. Any standard 1-Gang plate (e.g. outlet covers, switch plates) can be installed.
These boxes can also be used to quickly add low voltage wiring terminations to your cabinet by adding an appropriate adapter plate, keystone plate, and keystone jacks of various types, for example RJ45/Cat5/Cat6/Cat7 jacks, RCA, HDMI, Coax, or other keystone jacks (none included). If you add a blank cover plate (metal or plastic, neither included), these can be useful to quickly provide an enclosure for any miscellaneous wires or devices. If desired, you could drill the cover plate for user-accessible devices like LEDs, low-voltage switches, etc.
The box comes with a sturdy plastic DIN rail bracket (part# DINM15V2TH-RC) installed. The DIN brackets may be purchased alone if you desire the bracket without the enclosure.

Mounting Your Devices
To mount your electrical devices, simply screw them to the electrical box and use a cover plate (not included).
Installing and Removing the Enclosure Assembly on DIN Rail
These DIN rail enclosure assemblies are easily attached and detached from the DIN rail. When on the rail, the bracket latches to the rail on both the top and bottom lips of the rail. The bracket should be oriented such that the "fixed" (non spring-loaded) end of the bracket mounts to the top of the DIN rail, thus allowing the fixed end to bear the load. The spring-loaded sliding hooks will then grip the bottom of the DIN rail. This arrangement provides the greatest rigidity and load capacity.
To remove the enclosure from the DIN rail, use this method:
- Lift & Pivot Method: Push up on the assembly, pivot the top out away from the rail, and lower the entire assembly off the rail.
